The Story behind
At Provenance Proof, we're driven by a pioneering spirit and a passion for transforming the gems and jewellery industry. It all started with Dr. Eduard Josef Gübelin, whose visionary approach to gemstones inspired Raphael Gübelin to develop cutting-edge technologies that shed more light on the provenance of precious stones.
In 2017, Raphael Gübelin's vision became a reality with the launch of the Provenance Proof Initiative under the esteemed Gübelin Gem Lab. At the launch, the first Physical Tracers developed for emeralds were introduced to the industry, marking a breakthrough in gemstone transparency.
2 years later, we were thrilled to introduce the world's first blockchain-based platform that tracks the journey of every gemstone from rough to finished product. This innovative technology ensures that our clients can trust the authenticity and ethical sourcing of every gemstone they purchase.
