What the pricing change means for you
New plans and pricing apply from 18 November 2026. Nothing changes before that date, and if you do nothing your account carries on.
Why we are making this change
Since 2019 we have built the Provenance Proof Blockchain around a simple idea: verifiable traceability should be within reach of everyone in the gemstone and jewellery supply chain, not only the largest companies.
That does not change. There is still a free tier, so anyone can take part and create provenance records without paying anything. Larger volumes and the fuller set of tools sit on a paid plan.
What the subscription pays for is permanence. A provenance record is only worth something if it can still be opened in twenty years, and that means someone has to keep the platform running, secure and developed. Putting the service on a proper commercial footing is how we make sure of that.
So the new model is not only about what you can do on the platform. It is about making sure the records stay there, and that the platform is still around to hold them.

You move to the Free Plan
This happens automatically on 18 November. You will not be charged and you do not need to do anything. Your account stays open, your assets stay in your inventory, and your records stay exactly where they are.
What the Free plan includes each month
- 10 data uploads
- 10 asset transfers to other businesses
- 10 asset shareable links
- 1 marketplace listing
- 1 marketplace contact inquiry
- Full marketplace viewing, exactly as you have now
Retail transfers, Statements of Provenance and QR code exports are not part of the Free plan. If you transfer assets to consumers, you will need Basic.
How this compares with Standard today
We should be straight with you. Standard today has no monthly cap on uploads or transfers, so if you use the platform regularly the Free plan will feel tighter. Basic is the answer, and it is set out below.
Will I lose any of my data or my records?
No. Anything already recorded on the blockchain stays on the blockchain and stays verifiable. The new monthly limits apply to new activity from 18 November onwards. Nothing you have already done is affected or removed.
What if I do nothing at all?
You keep a working account on the Free plan, at no cost.
If you need more than the Free plan
Basic, $20 a month or $200 a year
Basic gives you unlimited data uploads and unlimited business to business transfers, plus a monthly allowance of:
- 50 asset shareable links
- 5 retail transfers to consumers
- 10 Statements of Provenance
- 24 QR code exports
- 10 marketplace listings
- 10 marketplace contact inquiries
- 1 Traceability Record
You can move to Basic whenever you like, once the new plans are live on 18 November. Sign in and open your account settings.

Bulk gem and parcel upload on Premium is 5 CSV files a month, with up to 50 assets in each file.
Practical questions
How do I change or stop my plan?
Sign in and open your account settings. You can move up to a larger plan there, and you can move down to the Free plan at any time. Moving down is how you stop a paid plan. There is no separate cancellation step, and nothing closes.
If you would rather we did it for you, email support@provenanceproof.com and we will take care of it.
If I stop paying, do I lose my account?
No. Your account stays open on the Free plan and everything you have recorded stays exactly where it is. You are moving to a smaller plan, not closing anything.
Can I export my records before anything changes?
Yes. Premium and Premium Plus accounts can export their inventory directly. If you are on Free or Basic and need an export, email us and we will help.
When do my monthly allowances reset?
Every month. On paid plans your allowance resets on your billing date. On the Free plan it resets on the 18th of each month. Annual plans still reset monthly, so if you pay once a year you still get a fresh allowance every month. Unused allowance does not carry over.
